We are glad to inform you that the international workshop on laser
plasma accelerator LPAW 2015 will be held in Guadeloupe in May 10-15 2015. This conference,
which is the reference for that field, will gather about 150 researchers from all the laboratories and facilities all around the
The workshop is the latest in the series of successful workshops first held in Kardamili, Greece and the most recently held in Goa, India (2013). The workshop allows the leading groups in the field of laser plasma accelerator to present and discuss their work. In particular, five working groups will focus on:
The workshop also offers the opportunity to present the latest
developments in laser and particle beams drivers, novel accelerator concepts, diagnostics, high-field science, other particle
sources, high-energy density plasmas and applications of next generation accelerators.
The aim of the meeting is to be able to exchange information and ideas in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere such as the one that can offer the wonderful French Caribbean Island « Guadeloupe ».
Thanks to the many strong support we got from academic/research agencies we are able to propose registration prizes that are extremely attractive and the possibility for 26 PhD students to participate to the workshop at half-prize for the registration cost. The deadline for the submission of the financial support for young scientists is January 5th 2015. Note that the conference registration covers almost everything (lodging, breakfast, lunch, diner, excursion, social diner, etc…) !
Importantly, the scientific committee program has agreed to give more invited talk to the youngest researchers.
We hope that all these efforts will convince you to participate to
this workshop and we trust on your participation for contributing on your side also to the success of this workshop.
Nominations for the John Dawson prize for best Phd thesis in the area of plasma based acceleration will be also open at the same time that the website.
In order to help us in preparing the conference AND because the hosted capacity is limited, we will ask you to register soon via the website. The website will be open for abstract submission for both contributed oral and poster presentations, and for pre-registration in a couple of weeks.
